7 Inspiring Personal Growth Quotes To Make Life More Meaningful
Personal growth quotes have been handy in helping me improve my personal development and career through the years. I think it’s time for me to share them with you in the hopes they inspire you as well. Remember, as long as you are alive, the process of personal growth never stops. May these quotes motivate you to create a more meaningful life.
7 Personal Growth Quotes to Help You Get Inspired
1. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. (Napoleon Hill)
One of my favorite personal growth quotes is this one from Napoleon Hill. I actually have a lot from him, but this is probably the best.
I have come across a lot of people who ask me, “Ted, how do I become like you? How do I become a speaker or an inspiration?”
I have tons of tips how to be a superstar speaker. I can help you increase your enrollment to your programs. I cannot do these things alone for you.
The pursuit of achieving your full potential will go on for as long as you live. For you to continue on this journey, you have to believe in yourself. Believe you can turn your goals into reality and then apply it.
Remember, never settle for less because the size of your aspirations will determine the size of your success.
2. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. (Will Durant)
This is one of my personal growth quotes that illustrate the importance of forming habits. Setting your goals is one thing, but working toward their fulfillment is another story.
I’ve built a multimillion-dollar empire before I reached 35 years old, packed events, and talked on national stages. I’ve traveled the world and delivered my message.
If there’s one thing I want you to know, I didn’t get there in an instant. It took me years, and within those times, I made a lot of mistakes. What made me successful is consistency.
I formed positive habits. I didn’t quit but instead trained myself how to be the best speaker I can be.
It’s one of the reasons why I like to share case stories here or on the stages. I want those listening to know you don’t build anything good overnight. Everything takes patience, practice, and consistency.
If you want to live a meaningful life, you have to develop habits that will lead you to attain your life goals. Abiding by these habits will cultivate discipline, which in turn will help pave the way toward success.
3. In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins, not through strength, but through persistence. (H. Jackson Brown Jr.)
Your sheer determination will set you apart from everyone else. Throughout history, those who have persisted are the ones who have been able to create opportunities and success for themselves. You can see this common characteristic among the celebrated people of our time.
Though faced with hundreds of rejections and failures, they just never gave up. In the same way, your persistence can take you places. You can achieve your goals — no matter how impossible they may seem — when you believe in yourself and keep moving forward.

4. Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own. (Bruce Lee)
You’ll encounter different kinds of people in your life, all of whom you can learn a thing or two from. At some point, they will rub off on you.
Like with these personal growth quotes, you should take from them only what will be good for you and let go of what will not help you.
I remember when I was young and struggling to find my own voice. I thought my parents’ divorce will define me. Then later, I thought it was my personal struggles that will.
When I was working in New York Life, I let the job and my ambition to pave the path for me.
What I didn’t realize then is I let others make me who I am.
Keep in mind you are your own person, and no one can bring you down without your permission.
5. Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you depending on how you respond to them. (Rick Warren)
There’s only so much you can control in your life. A lot of times, you’ll have no choice but to simply have faith everything will turn out for the better. What you can always be in control of is how you respond to situations.
Life is not only a series of problem-solving opportunities but also a series of choices. In my work and mission, my goal is to help others realize the vision they have for themselves. I can present them with the best choices.
I cannot choose for them, though. In the end, it’s their decision because it’s their life to live.
In the end, though making wrong decisions is unavoidable, when you choose to do what is right, it will ultimately lead you to a meaningful life.
6. Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher. (Oprah Winfrey)
The company you keep has a huge influence on your personality and success in life, so you should evaluate who your friends are. If you think they project negativity toward you, pick better ones who will encourage you the right way.
Remember, letting go of toxic people will do you good in the long run even if it’s difficult at the moment. You can choose the people you’ll associate with and whom you’ll listen to. Choose your friends wisely because they are a reflection of who you are.
7. No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see. (Taoist Proverb)
Above all else, you should not be a stranger to yourself. Like personal growth, getting to know yourself can take you your whole life.
Sometimes the hustle and bustle of everyday life can make you forget who you are. Take the time to meditate and honestly evaluate yourself each day. Know your strengths and weaknesses, what your values are, and what you believe in. When you know yourself, you can do more and be more.
